How have you been helped by the Affordable Care Act?
Millions of LGBT individuals, across America and here in California, have been helped by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare.
From expanding Medicaid, to providing subsidies in Covered California, from preventing folks from being denied coverage because of HIV status, other pre-existing conditions or because of sexual orientation or gender identity or socio-economic status, the ACA has helped countless members of California and our nation's diverse LGBT community. LGBT people and our families will be severely impacted if the incoming Republican Congress and Trump’s Administration repeal the ACA without a comprehensive replacement.
Equality California wants to hear from you. We must ensure our legislators understand the impact of the ACA on our community’s ability to access quality, affordable healthcare services. Please share your story about how the ACA has helped you and your family.
